Summary

Objective
1. To systematically extract information on hepatitis C testing, specifically where testing can take place and who can administer a test, in the 53 Member States of the WHO European Region;
2. To pilot the definition of late presentation of chronic viral hepatitis for medical care in select European countries;
3. To raise awareness about viral hepatitis testing, coinfection with HIV by leveraging events like World AIDS Day (1 Dec) and World Hepatitis Day (28 July); and
4. To contribute to scientific events and publications on these issues in addition to those led by the HIV in Europe initiative.
